What is Shuttering Oil?
Shuttering oil is a formwork release agent used during concrete construction to prevent fresh concrete from sticking to shuttering and mould surfaces.
It creates a thin separating film between the concrete and the formwork, allowing the shutter to be removed more easily after the concrete has set. Proper use of shuttering oil for concrete can also help achieve a cleaner concrete surface and reduce contamination of the formwork.
